See also Jansen Plateproduksjon Jansen Records is a record label based in Oslo, Norway. It was started by Erik Jansen in 2009, and has since grown to be one of the most notable indie labels in Norway. Jansen Records releases artists within every genre, and their roster contains everything from americana (Darling West, Louien), via folk (Torgeir Waldemar), to indiepop (Hajk, Daniel Kvammen, Chain Wallet), rock (Death By Unga Bunga), psych rock (Electric Eye), electronic pop (Lilyer, Hanne Kolstø) and more. Jansen Records was previously called Jansen Plateproduksjon. Recently (2017) Jansen Records also started a sister label called Black Pop Records. Black Pop Records is a more rock oriented record label, and they will release 7" singles and LPs by up and coming punk-, rock- and powerpop-bands from all over the world. Jansen Records also has a "open music" label called Pekula Records that explore exciting sounds. Jansen Records also run re-issue label Round 2 Records with top shelf Oslo record store Platebutikken Big Dipper.
