Blue Sky

Formed in 1973, the Blue Sky label centered around acts managed by Steve Paul, which were heavily connected to Edgar Winter & Johnny Winter. The label showcased many Johnny Winter productions, and was dissolved in 1983 when Winter left the label. Blue Sky was a trademark of Blue Sky Records, Inc. and USA releases were distributed by CBS Records. US labels through 1976 had a black background with the Blue Sky logo filled with a cloud graphic; releases and reissues from 1978 on replaced the black with a photo of a blue sky and clouds.
