US soul jazz label founded by Creed Taylor in July 1971, as a subsidiary label of CTI Records. Label Code: LC 2522 / LC 02522 The label was formed in order to showcase more 'commercial' artists than CTI, with a focus on R&B jazz and blues-oriented jazz music. Please use Kudu (4) for bootlegs The label became inactive around 1979, was revived again in 1983 with [r=1477465] from , again in 1993 with the soundtrack [m=810347], and finally with the acid-jazz project [r=7353215] in 1996. Many of the label's titles remained in print in Japan with the series.
