US record label based in Austin, Texas and founded by husband and wife and Charisse Kelly. The label has a distribution deal with Seattle's Records. The label has so far amassed more than 4,000 recordings, including a sizeable chunk licensed from the heirs of San Antonio businessman , who owned several small labels, including the , , and imprints. Among the treasure buried in Heavy Light's stash are reels from early and unreleased recordings and never-before-heard 1968 proto-funk from , who later formed . There's also an embarrassing wealth of Chicano soul waiting to be compiled.
