Formed in May 2009 and boasting members of notable Italian progressive groups, Fufluns is a new symphonic project formed by singer , keyboardist (, ) and bassist (ex-Taproban, now with and ), as well as drummer ([m772460], , ). Taking their name from the God of plant life, happiness, wine, health and growth in all things in Etruscan mythology, the purpose of the group was to craft a progressive album with a strong Italian song-writing style. Whilst slowly working on their own original material, the group contributed to Colossus Project's 'Decameron - Ten Days in 100 Novellas - part 1' in December 2011, and when Di Tollo departed, guitarist and drummer (both also of Prowlers) entered the group in April 2015. By June of that year, the band was in the studio recording, and their first album saw a release on March 2nd, 2016. An hour-long concept piece entitled `Spaventapasseri' (`Scarecrow'), Fuflun's debut is a fairy-tale-like story with colourful characters, full of charismatic vocal-driven pieces and a dreamy instrumental backing. Elements of folk, classical, theatrical, psychedelic and symphonic all join together on this lush ballad-heavy album.
