Dostlar

Dostlar was a progressive rock band formed in Istanbul in 1973. Their songs often featured strong political and social criticism. Known for their protest lyrics, striking stage costumes, and energetic performances, the band held a significant place in the history of Turkish rock music. They reintroduced traditional Turkish folk songs by troubadours, blending them with progressive rock elements and Anatolian motifs. However, the band came to an end in 1988 when Edip Akbayram decided to pursue a solo career.
