British hard progressive 5-piece active in the 1st half of the 70s. The band was formed in 1970-71 in Guildford (around 43 km south-west of central London) by Stuart "The Queen" Reffold (lead vocals, harp, percussion), Barry "Fruity" Coote (lead guitar, 12-string guitar, acoustic guitar), Joe Nanson (vocals, keyboards), Patrick "Patty" Sarjeant (bass, vocals) and Will "Wombat" Wright (drums, percussion. Seeing the lack of interest in the UK, they decided to move to Switzerland, where they had gained a good following. It was during this period that they were introduced to Swiss producer Stephan Sulke, who became a bit of a mentor to them. In 1971 the group recorded at Soundcraft Studios in Bienne their debut. 'Just In Case You're Interested' was issued in 1971, but not in England, and is an hard rock album with strong progressive influences, similar to the early albums of Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Humble Pie - with some influences of Jethro Tull as well. In 1973 the quintet recorded, still at Soundcraft Studios with the production of Stephan Sulke, their 2nd and final album 'Scruffy Duffy'. Despite the release in UK and increased promotion (including some gigs) the album sold poorly and so finally they disbanded.
