Sven-Åke Johansson

Swedish composer, drummer, poet, author and visual artist, born November 28,1943 in Mariestad, died June 15, 2025 in Berlin. Longtime collaborator of the free improvisation scene back in the German sixties with Peter Kowald and Peter Brötzmann, furthermore with Manfred Schoof, Alexander von Schlippenbach, Rüdiger Carl, and Hans Reichel. He contributed to numerous exhibitions, publications and more than forty recordings. He also produced radio plays for several German radio stations.
